DECLARE
Label Scheme

Declare is a transparency label that allows manufacturers of building products to stand in an advantageous position through transparent ingredient reporting, and is an approved compliance pathway for multiple green building programs. Project teams around the world use the Declare database and label to select products that comply with the Living Building Challenge, in addition to Green StarLEED and WELL

Like a nutrition label, Declare discloses all ingredients and residuals that are present in the final product at or above 100 ppm (0.01%). The label extends its transparency by providing insights into ingredient sourcing and highlighting environmental certifications and third-party verifications, such as responsible wood sourcing and low VOC emissions.

Architects, builders, and consumers leverage Declare's database and label to make well-informed decisions when selecting products for their building projects. With a commitment to transparency, Declare aims to empower stakeholders by ensuring they have access to critical information about the products they use.

As an accredited third-party verifier, we offer an additional layer of assurance and risk management. Our role involves a meticulous review of all ingredients, supply chain information, and Declare label claims. Acquiring a third-party verified Declare label not only enhances the market appeal of your products for green building projects but also addresses the growing demand for transparency from an increasingly discerning public.
